Prohibition on the export of fresh fruits
2.(1)Subject to the provisions of subregulation (2), no person shall export fresh fruits from the
Republic unless each quantity thereof has been approved by the Executive Officer for that purpose.
(2)Fresh fruits which are -
(a)exported in a consignment of less than 20 kg net mass; and
(b)taken in as provisions for consumption aboard a conveyance to a foreign country,shall be exempted from the prohibition set out in subregulation (1).
(3)An approval in terms of subregulation (1) may also be given by an Assignee designated with regard to fresh fruits.
Application for approval for export
3.(1)An application for an approval in terms of section 4 of the Act for the export of a consignment of fresh fruits, shall be directed in writing to the Executive Officer or the Assignee who has been designated with regard to fresh fruits.
(2)Such an application shall be made at least four working days before the intended date of export or as otherwise arranged with the Executive Officer or designated Assignee.
(3)The following particulars shall be supplied when such an application is made:
(a)The name and address to the applicant and, where applicable, of his agent or exporter.
(b)The type of fruit, cultivar and class thereof.
(c)The applicable Food Business Operator code.
(d)The number and type of containers in the consignment.
(e)The intended date and time of export and the port or airport from which the consignment concerned shall be exported.
(f)The particulars concerning the marking and destination of the consignment concerned.
(g)The address of the premises where the consignment concerned can be inspected and the date and time when the consignment will be ready for inspection.
(h)Any other additional information regarding the consignment concerned

Application for approval for export
3.(1) An application for an approval in terms of section 4 of the Act for the export of canned foodstuffs, shall be directed in writing to the Executive Officer or the Assignee who has been designated with regard to canned foodstuffs, as the case may be.
(2) Such an application shall be made at least 48 hours before the intended date of export.
(3) The following particulars shall be supplied when such an application is made:
(a) The name and address of the applicant and, where applicable, of his agent or exporter, as the case may be.
(b) The grade and type of canned foodstuffs in the consignment concerned.
(c) The number of containers, the mass and the number of units, as the case may be, which
comprises the consignment concerned.
(d) The manner of packing and the individual container sizes.
(e) The intended date of export, the method of transport and, in the case of export by sea, the name of the vessel concerned and the port from which the consignment concerned shall be exported.
(f) The destination of the consignment concerned.
(g) The address of the premises where the consignment concerned may be inspected and the date and time when the consignment will be ready for inspection.
(h) The trade mark and, where applicable, the code marks which appear on the containers concerned.

1.1 This Compulsory Specification applies to the harvesting, preparation, packing, conveyance and quality of live aquacultured abalone.
1.2 Wild harvested live abalone is excluded from the scope of this Compulsory Specification.
Description of the measure
3.2 The facility for live aquacultured abalone products shall be pre-approved by the NRCS for conformity of production requirements as prescribed in Annex A.1.
3.3 The packer may not dispatch live aquacultured abalone product from the facility without a valid NRCS approvals document for the facility.
3.4 Application for approval of the product shall be made to the NRCS for every consignment of live aquacultured abalone in accordance with the requirements of AnnexA.2.
A.2 APPLICATION FOR APPROVAL OF PRODUCT
The applicant shall apply to the NRCS for approval of the product. The application shall be accompanied by the following:
A.2.1 Importers and exporters shall supply details of the live aquacultured abalone product per consignment for which approval is sought and provide evidence that the product complies with SANS 729 (specific export requirements are given in Annex B);
A.2.2 The applicable rights and permits as required by SAMSM&CP;
A.2.3 Test results for the live aquacultured abalone and water as prescribed in SANS 729 for a minimum period of three months preceding the application;
A.2.4 Records and documentation as evidence of implementation of a product safety management system;
A.2.5 Movement documentation to substantiate traceability;
A.2.6 Declaration of current classification of farm with regards to the SAMSM&CP;
A.2.7 Test results as per SANS 729 and SAMSM&CP at request;
A.2.8 Details of the markings used on the packed product:
A.2.9 Information to the satisfaction of the NRCS regarding the measures taken by the applicant to ensure ongoing conformity with the requirements of this Compulsory Specification; and
A.2.1 0 Any reasonable additional information requested by the NRCS.

Discovery phase export permit
14. (1)A person who wishes to export from the Republic any indigenous genetic and biological resources for the purpose of bioprospecting for commercial research must obtain a discovery phase export permit from the issuing authority.
Biotrade permit
16. (1)A person who wishes to engage in biotrade within the Republic, must obtain a
biotrade permit from the issuing authority.
(2) A biotrade permit referred to in paragraph (1) above, may also be used for export from the Republic of any indigenous genetic and biological resources covered in the permit application.
(3) An application for a biotrade permit must be submitted in the form of Annexure 5 to these Regulations.
Integrated biotrade and bioprospecting permit
18. (1)A person who wishes to engage in both biotrade and bioprospecting involving indigenous genetic and biological resources within the Republic, must obtain an integrated biotrade and bioprospecting permit from the issuing authority.
(2) An integrated biotrade and bioprospecting permit referred to in paragraph (1) above, may also be used for export from the Republic of any indigenous genetic and biological resources covered in the permit application.
Export permit for research other than bioprospecting
19. (1) A person who wishes to export from the Republic any indigenous genetic and biological resources for research other than bioprospecting must obtain an export permit for research other than bioprospecting from the issuing authority.

Application for approval for export
3. (1) An application for an approval in terms of section 4 of the Act for the export of a consignment of processed products, shall be directed in writing to the Executive Officer or the Assignee who has been designated with regard to those processed products.
(2) Such an application shall be made at least four working days before the intended date of export, or as otherwise arranged with the Executive Officer or designated Assignee.
(3) The following particulars shall be supplied when such an application is made:
(a) The name and address of the applicant and, where applicable, of his agent or exporter.
(b) The type and class, kind and class, type and grade or kind and grade, as the case may be, of product.
(c) The number of containers in and the mass of the consignment concerned.
(d) The intended date of export, the method of transport and, in the case of export by sea, the name of the vessel concerned and the port or airport from which the consignment concerned shall be exported.
(e) The particulars concerning the marking and destination of the consignment concerned.
(f)The address of the premises where the consignment concerned can be inspected and the date and time when the consignment will be ready for inspection.
(g)Any other additional information regarding the consignment concerned.
Prohibition on the export of processed products
2. (1) Subject to the provisions of subregulation (2), no person shall export processed products from the Republic unless each quantity thereof has been approved by the Executive Officer for that purpose.
(2) Processed products which are -
(a) exported in a consignment of less than 20 kg net mass; and
(b) taken in as provisions aboard a conveyance to another country, shall be exempted from the prohibition set out in subregulation (1).
(3) An approval in terms of subregulation (1) may also be given by an Assignee designated with regard to processed products.

73. (2) A person may not export or re-export a specimen of a black rhinoceros (Diceros bicomis) or a white

authorized-
(a) by a permit issued in accordance with these Regulations; and
(b) to the extent applicable, in terms of the CITES Regulations.

Description of the measure
By virtue of powers vested in me under Section 12(1 )(a) and (b) of the National Forests Act, 1998, I, Senzeni Zokwana, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries hereby declare all particular trees and particular groups of trees set out in the schedule below as protected trees.
The effect of this declaration is that in terms of Section 15(1) of the National Forests Act, 1998, no person may cut, disturb, damage or destroy any protected tree or possess, collect, remove, transport, export, purchase, sell, donate or in any other manner acquire or dispose of any protected tree or any forest product derived from a protected tree, except under a licence granted by the Minister or in terms of an exemption from the provisions of this subsection published by the Minister in the Gazette.
Contravention of this declaration is regarded as a first category offence that may result in a person who is found guilty of being sentenced to a fine or imprisonment for a period up to three years, or both a fine and imprisonment.

3 .(2) Application for the issue of a firearms dealer's export permit shall be made to theRegistrar in Form 2 in the Second Schedule.
3. (3) A firearms dealer's export permit shall be issued by the Registrar in Form 3 in the Second Schedule and a fee of six fee units shall be payable on the issue of the permit.
3.(4) A firearms dealer's export permit shall be valid for a period of three months from the date of issue thereof and if not used within such period shall be delivered by the holder thereof to the Registrar within two weeks after the expiration of such period. The fee paid shall not be returnable.
4. (1) Application for the issue of a tourist's import permit and/or export permit shall be made to the Registrar in Form 4 in the Second Schedule.
(2) A tourist's import and/or export permit shall be issued by the Registrar in Form 5 in the Second Schedule.

9. (1) No person shall export firearms or ammunition except under the authority of, and in accordance with the terms and conditions (if any) contained in, a firearms dealer's export permit, a tourist's export permit or a resident's export permit, as the case may be. Such permits shall be in the prescribed form and shall be issued by the Registrar.
(2). A tourist's export permit shall be issued only to a tourist to whom a tourist's import permit was issued
