- Article 4:The entrance of goods, persons and means of transport into the customs territory is subject to the control of customs and should be carried out through the ports, airports and customs points duly empowered for this purpose
Article 6(2): Exceptionally, loading, unloading and transshipment of goods coming from abroad or intended to abroad out of the enabled or authorized sites can be made if there is well-founded fear of loss and damage, whether the means of transport or the goods, for reasons of force majeure or for another cause that otherwise might not be predictable, provided the nearest customs office is informed with the necessary urgency
Article 8: All road transport units arriving in the country from abroad should address the customs offices designated by the routes legally authorized by the Customs Director General
Article 9(1): Aircraft from outside shall land at international airports or airfields previously authorized by the competent authorities
Article 9(2): The Customs shall be advised in advance on any arrival or departure of aircraft at international airports or authorized aerodromes, and the agents or representatives of the airline companies shall submit cargo manifest and list of passenger prior to arrival or departure of any aircraft
Article 10(1) Vessels shall enter the ports, piers or wharves enabled for loading and unloading of goods and passenger embarkation and disembarkation
Article 10(2): Agents or representatives of shipping companies should inform in advance to the Customs authorities at ports, piers or wharves, the forecast of arrival or departure of vessels and submit the manifest of cargo and passenger list
Article 10(3) For tourism purposes cruises or other such vessels may anchor outside the premises specified in the preceding paragraph, prior permission by the Customs.

- 2l.-{ 1) A person shall not import any fertilizer or fertilizer supplement in Tanzania unless-
(a) such fertilizer or fertilizer supplements is registered in terms of this Act;
(b) is of the composition and efficacy specified in the application for registration thereof;
.(c) possesses all chemical, physical and other properties so specified and complies with the requirements prescribed in respect thereof; and
(d) is packed in a sealed container which is marked or labeled in the prescribed manner with the prescribed particulars; .
(e) in the case of a fertilizer or fertilizer supplements containing bone or any other substance derived from the carcass of an animal, a permit referred to in section 20 has been issued in respect thereof.
(2) Without prejudice to the provisions of subsection (l) and (2), the Minister may, upon consultation with the Board and on such conditions as he may determine, in writing, permit the import of any consignment of any fertilizer or fertilizer supplements which does not comply with the requirements referred to in subsection (l)(a), (b) and (d).
(3) Fertilizers or fertilizer supplements imported shall-
(a) only be imported through a prescribed port or place;
(b) if the Director directs that a sample thereof be taken, not be removed from any such port or place without the written consent of the Director;
(c) if the Director thus directs, be made available for examination and the taking of a sample at any such port or place in the prescribed manner; and
(d) where a sample thereof has thus been taken, not be sold in Tanzania except on the written consent of the Director and subject to the conditions specified therein.
(4) The provisions of section 32 relating to samples shall, mutatis mutandis, apply with reference to a sample taken in terms of this section.
(5) Where any fertilizer or fertilizer supplement has been imported contrary to the provisions of this section, such fertilizer or fertilizer supplement shall-
(a) at the expense of such importer, be removed from Tanzania within such period as the Director may determine; or
(b) if such importer fails to remove such fertilizer or fertilizer supplement in terms of paragraph (c), be forfeited to the Government, arid be either destroyed or otherwise disposed of in the manner prescribed in the regulations. - Reference of the measure

(1)No person shall import or export any firearm or ammunition except at any one or more places designated for the purpose by the Minister by a notice published in the Gazette and under and in accordance with an import permit issued by the chief licensing officer or an export permit issued by a licensing officer.
(2)No person shall import or export any firearm or ammunition, or any firearm or ammunition of a class or type, of which the importation or exportation, as the case may be, is for the time being prohibited by the Minister by statutory order.
Any person who contravenes any of the provisions of subsection (1) or (2) commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for life. The chief licensing officer or a licensing officer, as the
case may be, may, at his or her discretion, refuse to grant any import or export permit under this section without assigning any reason for the refusal, and shall refuse to grant any such permit authorising—
the importation or exportation of any arms or ammunition of war unless the Minister has sanctioned the importation or exportation;
the importation or exportation of any firearm or ammunition of which the importation or exportation, as the case may be, is for the time being prohibited under subsection (2); and
the importation of any firearm or ammunition which has previously been exported without having obtained an export permit under this Act.
Import and export permits under this section shall be in the prescribed forms and there shall be payable in respect of the permits such fees as may be prescribed.
The chief licensing officer or a licensing officer, as the case may be, may, without assigning any reason for the revocation, revoke any import or export permit granted under this section at any time before the firearms or ammunition to which it relates have been imported or exported.
Any person who, for the purpose of procuring whether for himself or herself or for any other person the issue of an import or export permit under this section, makes any statement which he or she knows to be false or does not believe to be true, commits an offence and is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years or to a fine not exceeding twenty thousand shillings or to both.
For the purposes of subsection (2), “ firearm” includes a safety, toy and alarm pistol, and a rifle which is capable of being converted into, or has the appearance of, a barrelled weapon or which can be used or adapted for the discharge of any noxious liquid, gas or similar substance. - Reference of the measure
