- 8. (1) The Authority shall annually determine the quantity of refined sugar that may be required from manufacturers for domestic consumption while accounting for any shortfall in domestic production of refined sugar.
(2) A registered importer shall apply to the Authority for authorization from the Authority to import a consignment of refined sugar.

- 7. Control of alcoholic drinks
(1) No person shall—
(a) manufacture or otherwise produce;
(b) sell, dispose of, or deal with;
(c) import or cause to be imported; or
(d) export or cause to be exported,any alcoholic drink except under and in accordance with a licence issued under this Act.
(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), an alcoholic drink shall be deemed to have been exported when it is placed on a ship, aircraft, train or any other vehicle within Kenya for the purposes of export. - Reference of the measure

- 19. Licences
(1) No person shall carry on business as an export processing zone developer, export processing zone operator or export processing zone enterprise or hold himself out as providing or maintaining activities or facilities within an export processing zone enterprise unless he has been licensed as an export processing zone developer or an export processing zone operator or an export processing zone enterprise, as the case may be.
(2) The Authority may, on receiving application in the prescribed form, issue a licence to any person to carry on business as an export processing zone developer, or an export processing zone operator or an export processing zone enterprise and every licence issued under this subsection shall be in the prescribed form. (2A) The Authority shall, before issuing a licence allowing commercial activities, consult with the Commercial-General of the Kenya Revenue Authority.
(3) The Authority shall give notice to the Kenya Revenue Authority of every Export Processing Zone enterprise licensed under this section specifying—
(a)the activities in respect of which the enterprise is licensed and shall, in relation to commercial activities, indicate whether the enterprise is permitted to deal in goods not directly related to its manufacturing activities; and
(b)any conditions attached to the licence.

- 21. Export licence
(1) No person shall export a firearm or ammunition, unless he holds an export permit.
(2) Every application for an export licence shall be made—
(a) in the prescribed form; and
(b) prior to export.
(3) The Commissioner shall not issue an export permit unless the firearm licensee—
(a) intends to hunt in a foreign country where he has been invited;
or
(b) is sending the firearm to the manufacturer of the country of origin for repairs.
(4) No export permit shall be granted to a non-citizen for the export of a new firearm.
(5) An export permit shall be issued—
(a) subject to such conditions as the Commissioner may impose or as may be prescribed; and
(b) on payment to the Commissioner of the fee specified in the Second Schedule. - Reference of the measure

(1) Subject to subsection (2), no person shall, except with a permit issued by the authorised officer and subject to such conditions including the payment of such fees as may be prescribed -
(a) bread, hunt, obtain by any means or have in his possession any prescribed species of wildlife or obtain or have in possession any products of prescribed species of wildlife;
(b) buy, sell or otherwise trade in any prescribed species of wildlife or any products thereof,
1. export from Mauritius or import into Mauritius any prescribed species of wildlife or any product thereof,
2. assist in, or facilitate, the export from Mauritius or import into Mauritius of any prescribed species of wildlife or any product thereof unless he has ascertained that a permit has been issued by the authorised officer in respect of such export or import.
