3. (3) An exporter shall not export any of the following:
(a) charcoal;
(b) non-finished timber products from national forests; and
(c) peelers and saw logs of any species.

82. Any grower who sells or exports on consignment surplus tobacco of which he is the grower otherwise than-
(a) through a pool established pursuant to section eighty; or
(b) in pursuance of any arrangement made by the Board for the disposal of surplus tobacco pursuant to section eighty-one; shall be guilty of an offence.
85. (1) Save as provided by subsections (3) and (4), any grower who exports tobacco from the Republic save in accordance with a permit issued by the Minister shall be guilty of an offence.
44. (1) Subject to sub-regulation (2), a person shall not use, sell, offer for sale, distribute, import, export or in any manner deal with a controlled substance or a product containing a substance within a group set out in the Fifteenth Schedule on or after the date of prohibition set out in the last column of the Fifteenth Schedule in respect of that substance.
(2) Sub regulation (1) does not apply to—
(a) controlled substance or ozone depleting substance that was imported before the date of its prohibition; or
(b) a recovered, recycled, reclaimed, or used controlled substance or ozone depleting substance imported or exported with the authority of the Agency.
45. (1) A person shall not export or import an air conditioner containing or designed to use a controlled substance or ozone depleting substance.
(2) A person shall not import a vehicle fitted with an air conditioner or refrigeration unit unless the vehicle’s cooling unit is fitted with chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) free coolant.
46. (1) Subject to sub regulation (2), from the date of entry into force of these Regulations, a person shall not import any aerosol product which uses a chlorofluorocarbon as a gas or a propellant.

5 (1) It shall not be lawful for a person to export from Zambia a drug to which this Part applies except under a licence granted by the Minister.
5 (2) If at any time the importation into a foreign country of a drug to which this Part applies is prohibited or restricted by the laws of that country, there shall, while that prohibition or restriction is in force, be attached to every licence which is issued by the Minister under this Act authorising the export of that drug from Zambia such conditions as
appear to him necessary for preventing or restricting, as the case may be, the exportation of that drug from Zambia to that country during such time as the importation of that drug into that country is so prohibited or restricted, and any such licence issued before the prohibition or restriction came into force shall, if the Minister by order so directs, be
deemed to be subject to the like conditions.
9. It shall not be lawful for a person to import into, or to export from, Zambia, any
prepared opium.
3. (1) A person shall not possess, export, re-export, import, introduce from the sea, transit or tranship any specimen of a species listed in the First Schedule to these Regulations otherwise than in accordance with these Regulations.

13. Licensing of waste carriers
(1) The provisions of this section shall come into effect 18 months after the coming into operation of this Act.
(2) Subject to subsections (3) and (12) no person shall cause or effect the movement of controlled waste within Botswana or the trans-boundary movement of controlled waste without a waste carrier licence issued under this section.
(3) Subsection (2) shall not apply to-
(a) the transportation of controlled waste between different places within the same premises;
(b) the transportation of controlled waste in transit from a country or territory outside Botswana to another and such waste is not deposited in Botswana, provided that the person carrying the waste is not resident in Botswana and holds the prescribed qualifications or other qualifications recognised by the Director to transport controlled waste; or

Description of the measure
21. Control of export of cattle and the licensing of export slaughter-houses
(1) No person other than the Commission shall export cattle or edible products from cattle from Botswana unless he is in possession of a permit in writing to do so issued by the Minister under this section.
(2) No such permit shall be issued without the concurrence of the Commission or unless the Minister declares by order published in the Gazette that by reason of exceptional circumstances it is in his opinion clearly in the public interest to issue such permit without the concurrence of the Commission.
36. (1) A person shall not —
(a) be a system operator in any natural gas systems;
(b) transmit natural gas;
(c) distribute natural gas;
(d) store natural gas;
(e) sell natural gas to customers and consumers; or
(f) import or export natural gas,
except in terms of a licence issued by the Authority authorising him or her to do so.
37. (1) A person shall not —
(a) construct and operate a petroleum pipeline;
(b) transport petroleum products over a pipeline;
(c) store and operate storage facilities for petroleum products;
(d) operate loading or discharge facilities;
(e) operate a retail service station;
(f) manufacture petroleum products; or
(g) import and export petroleum products,
except in terms of a licence issued by the Authority authorising him or her to do so.

34. Import, export, re-export and transit of game animals and trophies
(1) No person shall import, export, re-export or acquire transit rights for game animals without an import, export, re-export and transit permit respectively.
(2) An application for an import, export, re-export or transit permit for game animals not listed under the Fifth Schedule of the Act shall be made in the form set out in the Twenty Sixth Schedule.
(3) An import, export, re-export and transit permit for game animals and trophies not listed under the Fifth Schedule of the Act shall be in the form set out in the Twenty Seventh Schedule.
(4) An import, export, re-export and transit permit for game animals and trophies specified in the Fifth Schedule of the Act, shall be in the form set out in the Twenty Eighth Schedule.
(5) If an import, export, re-export or transit permit is unused for whatever reason it shall be surrendered to the issuing office before another one is issued.
(6) A permit applied for under this regulation may be issued on the payment of an appropriate fee specified in the Twenty-Ninth Schedule.
(7) A permit issued under this regulation shall be subject to such terms, conditions and requirements as may be endorsed in the permit.
(8) Any person who contravenes any provision of this regulation shall be guilty of an offence.

9. Export permit
(b) (1) An application for an export permit under section 8 of the Act shall be made, on Form 9
(c) set out in the First Schedule to a licensing officer in the district in which the applicant carries
(d) on business or normally resides.
(e) (2) An export permit applied for under subregulation (1) shall be issued, in Form 10 set out in
(f) the First Schedule, by the licensing officer in the district in which the applicant carries on
(g) business or normally resides and shall be valid for six months from the date of issue.
